At Mundy’s Mill, STEM Club Day is an exciting chance for students to dive into real-world career experiences right at school! No need to worry about transportation—students can explore a variety of STEM clubs, each designed to reflect the careers of tomorrow. STEM is all about creativity, problem-solving, and combining skills from different areas, just like in the workplace. That's why we've created a club rotation where students will explore 2-3 different careers over the first few Club Days. In the end, they’ll come away with a completed project that brings everything together for a true STEM experience!
Mundy's Mill Middle STEM Club Clusters
CLUSTER 1
Students will compete in a water tower competition hosted by Clayton County's Water Authority. This competition is for 6th grade students. It provides students with a fun-filled, science-oriented contest aimed at introducing middle school students to engineering and the water profession.This competition requires students to conduct research, design, and build a working water tower with specific size and height requirements.The models are judged based on three categories: hydraulic efficiency, structural efficiency, and design ingenuity/interview presentation.
WATER TOWER CLUB
Model water towers may be of any design and constructed from any materials. In fact, you will be awarded for using creative designs and innovative materials. A creative design is a water tower that will function even though it does not look like any other tower. Examples of innovative materials are an old broom stick from your garage as a support structure, an ice cream bucket as a tank, or any other a typical items that you might find lying around the house.
SCIENCE CLUB
Science Club provides students with a hands-on, interactive environment to explore various scientific fields, engage in experiments, and develop problem-solving skills. Members collaborate on projects, participate in challenges, and apply scientific concepts to real-world situations. The club fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation while encouraging teamwork and a passion for science. ART CLUB

In Cluster 3 students will embark on a global adventure in Geography Club, where they’ll create personalized maps and captivating stories about places around the world. They’ll dive into the culture, exploring featured dishes through text, photos, and videos. In Cooking Club, students will master the art of creating these delicious dishes, honing their culinary skills in a fun and interactive environment. Journalism Club will then offer them a platform to reflect on their culinary experiences, allowing them to share the rich cultural stories behind each dish.
